He was predeceased by: his son Michael Thomas Hathaway. He is survived by: his wife Vera Folmar Hathaway; his children, Angela Hathaway, Beth Holland (Chris) of Pooler, Catherine Hewitt (Jeff) of Allenhurst, GA, Curt Carpenter (Lisa) of Williamston, MI and David Carpenter (Teresa) of Hinesville, GA; his grandchildren, Kyle Carpenter, Jessica Thomas, Isaac Carpenter, Alyssa Carpenter, Ray Turner, Jeffery Hewitt, Jacob Hewitt, Ashley Hathaway, Will Medford, Kylee Hathaway and Haley Hathaway; and his great grandchildren, Winston Boyd Turner and William Oliver Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
