It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Trueman Gordy of Rincon, Georgia, who passed away on August 27, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Joyce Gordy; his parents, Lonnie Gordy and Betty Faircloth Gordy; and his sisters, Pauline Coleman and Bessie Mae Lovell.
He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Gordy; his children, Scott Gordy (Bonnie) and Stephanie Roberts (Richard); his grandchildren, Scott Gordy, Jr. (Mandi) and Alaina Gordy; his great grandchildren, Trey Gordy, Michaela Gordy, MacKenzie Gordy, Kaiden Williams and Kenadi Williams; and his stepchildren, Sophie Halstead (Robert), Stephanie Shapso, Joe Shapso, Sarah Sager, Abraham Erickson, Adam Erickson, Isaac Erickson and Becky Roden (Ron). He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Due to Covid, the family realizes some people may feel uncomfortable attending visitation or funeral and they understand.
