He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Yell and Virginia Yell; and his siblings, Johnny, David, Lyle, Tommy, Jimmy, Diane and Janice.
He is survived by: his sisters, Linda Stover and Joy Elliott; his adoptive daughter Hope Ann Apley; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
