He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Cornelius McConathy and Mary Ziti Dean McConathy; his wife Beverly Ann Ingle McConathy; and his siblings, Nadine Bain, Mildred Hudgins and Robert McConathy.
He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy McConathy (LeAnn), Bill McConathy (Dee Dee) and Jeff McConathy; his siblings, Becky Rhorer (Pete), Sam McConathy, Herman McConathy and Bo McConathy (Barbara); his grandchildren, Morgan (Reed), Matthew (Rachel), Mary Catherine (Andrew) and Colton (Whitley); and his great grandchildren, Everly and Huntley. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home (555 W Cloud Springs Rd, Rossville, GA 30742). A burial will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at the Lakewood Memory Gardens South (325 Greens Lake Rd, Rossville, GA 30741).
