With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Thaxton of Roberta, Georgia, born in Griffin, Georgia, who passed away on January 31, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman E. Thaxton Sr. and Sadie Yaughn Thaxton; his girlfriend Lida Jo O'Neal; and his brothers, Norman E. Thaxton Jr. and Jack Thaxton (Edna).
He is survived by : his son Little Wayne Thaxton; his sisters, Norma Jo Scarborough (Dan) and Linda Gurley (Hugh); his stepdaughter Andrea O'Neal; and his nephew Jim Scarborough. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
