It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Betty Gore of Rome, Georgia, born in Summerville, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 80, on May 23, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Formworth and Velma Mae Slayton McGraw; her former husband Charles Wallace Hawkins; her son Charles Bradley Hawkins; and her siblings, Rosia "Rose" Mae Lancaster, Jack McGraw and Ronald "Ronnie" McGraw.
She is survived by: her husband Allen Lamar Gore; her children, Frederick Bryan Hawkins (Connie Elaine) and Beth Hawkins Hall; her siblings, Levi Formworth "Bud" McGraw (Miron), Bobby Richard "Bob" McGraw (Joyce) and Sylvia Oneida Wasik (Dave); her grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Hawkins, Charles Bradley Hawkins, Rachel Victoria Hawkins, Sydney Sheris Hawkins, Savannah Rayne Hawkins and John Alexander Hall; and her great grandchildren, Jayden Evans and Dillon Evans. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The Gore family, along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions for the COVID pandemic set forth by the C. D. C. as it pertains to social gatherings limitations including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
