With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Vernon Nicholson of Rome, Georgia, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on January 17, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Kidd and Pearl Pegg Demonia; her son Steve Wade; and her sisters, Sarah Poole and Joyce Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Sharp (Wyatt), Evie Shedd (Kenneth), Sylvia Sizemore and Frank Atkins (Barbara); and her brother Alvin "Wormie" Demonia. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; several great and great – great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are requested at both the visitation and service.
