With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Joseph Barton of Rome, Georgia, who passed away on February 18, 2021 at the age of 38. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Louis Barton and Betty Jo Terry Barton. He is survived by: his brother Jesse Lee Barton; his grandparents, Daniel and Judy Emerick; his aunt Alicia Barton; and his stepfather John Culpepper. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Second Avenue United Methodist Church in Douglas' memory.
