He is survived by: his wife Linda McCraw Shuler; his children, James Alvin Shuler, Jr., Stacey Shuler and Crystal Bachus (Jason); his sister Emma Conner; his grandchildren, James Alvin Shuler III and Sara Sullivan; and his great grandchildren, Paige, Shelby, Johnny and Corbin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
