She was predeceased by : her parents, Corrie Cumming of Virginia and John Freeman Cumming; her husband Frederick Ross Johnson, Jr.; and her siblings, Georgia Cumming Hardwick and John Freeman Cumming, Jr..
She is survived by : her children, Frederick Ross Johnson, III (Karen) and Corrie Johnson McDowell; and her grandchildren, Michael Harrison York, Jr. (Taylor), Frederick Ross Johnson, IV, Jacquelyn Johnson Jackson (Ben), Lauren McDowell Moultrie (John) and Robert Charles McDowell (Mary Alice). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
