He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady William Pilgrim, Sr. and Lucille Alice Atkins Pilgrim; and his sister Mary Frances Pilgrim Minter. He is survived by: his son Raymond Larry Pilgrim (April Peeler); his siblings, James Pilgrim (Janice), Grover Pilgrim (Linda), Grady Pilgrim, Jr. (Melissa) and Glenda Jean Hardegree; and his grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Abernathy (Justin) of Rome, Brandon Jake Pilgrim (Kelcey) of Rome and Austin Blake Pilgrim of Rome. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
