He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth of Cane Valley; his daughter Melanie Sumner of Rome; his grandchildren, Allison Landers (Raleigh), Aaron Sumner (Savannah), Mimi Luce, Nathan Sumner Zoe (Grand Blanc), Rider Marr (Rome), Scarlett Sumner (Athens), Lawson Sumner (Atlanta) and Esther Sumner (Rome); his great grandchildren, Ella, Jaxson, Carson Cooke (Raleigh), Hudson, Chandler, Ethan Sumner (Savannah), Hadleigh, Beckett Luce, Elise, Ruby, Holly (Grand Blanc) and Daxton (Rome); and his nieces and nephews, Gayle Frey (KY), Bradley (TN) and Stephen (KY).
