He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Amos Thomas and Susie Russell Thomas; his daughter Dana LaRee Thomas; his grandson Andrew David Smith; and his siblings, Howard Amos Thomas, Maudie Love, Averlee Bell and Ercie Duvall.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Jenkins Thomas; his daughters, Joyce Vanell Thomas Vanmeter (Ricky) and Starr Luchelle Thomas; his grandchildren, Derrick Thomas Vanmeter (Amanda) of Atlanta, Scott Kendall Vanmeter (Valerie) of Atlanta, Haley Mykayla Vanmeter of Atlanta, Ronnie Jackson Vanmeter (Destiny) of Atlanta, Jordan Matthew Vanmeter of Atlanta, Megan LaRee Nare of Atlanta, Emma Leigh Nare of Atlanta, Henry "Hank" Thomas Nare and Ryan Michael Abernathy; and his great grandchildren, Whitney, Kate Vanmeter, Zoey Copeland, Jaxon McCurry, Kayden and Bryleigh Vanmeter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed and the family requests masks be worn.
