He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Eugene Chapman and Onie Mae Bennett Chapman; and his siblings, Donald Eugene Chapman, David Chapman, Diane Chapman, Lois Ford and Betty Heath.

He is survived by: his fiancée Beth Sims; his sons, Terry Wayne Chapman, Jr. and Daniel Chapman; his sisters, Mardene Baker and Shirley Gentry; and his grandchildren, Logan, Alexis and Praylin Chapman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
