She was predeceased by : her parents, Luther Franklin Shelnutt and Mattie Belle Grant Shelnutt; her husband Delma Shumake; and her siblings, Quinard Shelnutt, L. F. "Sonny" Shelnutt and Barbara Ann Shelnutt.
She is survived by : her son Mardel Shumake (Georgia) of Roopville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
