She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Ereutte Eugene "E. E." Griffin and Judy Widener Griffin; her husband William "Bill" Vayda; her siblings, Rudene Gibbs, Louise Hightower, Evelyn Stogner and Herman Griffin; and her son Steve Vayda.
She is survived by: her daughter Elaine; her son-in-law Mike Eglin; her sons, Jim (Mary Vayda), John (Barbara Vayda) and Richard (Rita Vayda); her daughter-in-law Vicki Vayda; and her siblings, Rachel Johnson, Charlotte Mull and Eugene Griffin. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
