She was predeceased by : her husband H. G. Wood; and her parents, Amos Mitchell and Bessie Mitchell. She is survived by : her sons, Doug (Joann) of Lookout Mtn, GA. and Mitch of Chattanooga, TN; her grandsons, Matt (Paula) of Richmond, VA., Mitch of Chattanooga, TN. and Hunter of Greenville, SC.; and her great grandchildren, Henry and Lila (Jenny Mason) of Richmond, VA..

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Caris Hospice, or South Rosssville Baptist Church.
