He was predeceased by: his father Sam; his wife Gaynelle Shope Layman; and his sons, Trennon Lamar Layman and Howard Fraklin "Howie" Layman. He is survived by: his daughter Sadonna Layman; his sisters, Lula Faucette and Vivian Ridley; his grandchildren, Matt Starks and Chris Starks; his great grandchildren, Ashlyn Starks, Sadie Bryan and Landon Bryan; and his stepchildren, Gary Hullender, Phillip Hullender, Greg Hullender and Susan Mulkey. He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren; numerous step-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.
