She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Laseter and Mary Clay; and her husband Thomas Alva Edison Bender. She is survived by : her children, Dr. Baxter Thomas Bender, Rebekah McWhorter, Greta Bender and Karen Minor.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Roswell Funeral Home (950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076).
