He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reeves and Mabel Pinnel Reeves; his children, Eddie Reeves Jr. and Elizabeth Reeves Collyer; and his siblings, Emory (Virginia Reeves), J. T. Reeves and Leila Reeves Everett.

He is survived by: his wife Dolle Hunt Reeves; his son Jerry (Sherry Reeves); his grandchildren, Ryder Morales, Reba, Tony Frazee, Buck, Andrea Reeves, Greg, Amber Reeves, Daniel Reeves and Lisa O'Kelley; and his sister-in-law Bobbe Hunt Bassett. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
