She was predeceased by: her parents, Cesar Augusto Alsina and Eddy Blanco of Alsina; her father-in-law Eduardo Montaña; her siblings, Javier Alsina and Mary Jacome Alsina; and her nephew Javier Alsina Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Maria Montaña and Patricia Montaña Fabian (Stephen Fabian) of Eduardo Montaña; her grandchildren, Lia Shuford, Myriam Athanas Faulkner (Alex Faulkner), Jake Shuford, Amina Montaña, Nicholas Athanas, Julia Fabian, Eduardo Montaña III, Fernando Montaña and David Montaña; her brother Fernando Alsina Blanco; and also, Maria, Patricia and D. Myriam.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Kids In Need of Defense, K.I.N.D. At KIND, they envision a world in which children's rights and wellbeing are protected as they migrate alone in search of safety.
