She was predeceased by: her grandfather Arch McDonnell. She is survived by: her husband Dane Sylvest; her parents, Dwayne Purcell and Julie Purcell; her sister Whitney; her brother-in-law Charles Shakar; her brother Joshua Purcell; her nephews, Grant and Ford Shakar; and her pet Andi.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Nikki.
