It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Horace Eugene Reeves of Rutledge, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on July 30, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Hoyt Reeves and Miriam Shaw Reeves; his significant other Mildred Yvonne Wilkes; his daughters, Vickie Reeves Jenkins (Lloyd), Terry Yvonne Reeves (Doug Martin) and Tammy Reeves Deraney (Joseph); his grandchildren, Phillip Juhan (Barbara), Shannon Juhan (Jamy), Justin Hendrix (Toni), Stephen Reeves Hendrix, Briana Raines (Pat), Brandi Holcombe and Candace Higgins; and his siblings, Loraine Reeves Campbell and Ricky Reeves. He was also cherished by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to Yvonne's ongoing health issues, as well as the rise in Covid-19 cases, the family respectfully requests that everyone keep a safe distance when visiting. Horace was very concerned about Covid and the health and welfare of his family and friends and would want everyone to remain safe and well.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to either Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, GA, or East Newton Baptist Church in Covington, GA.
