It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Effie Walker of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Thomas W. Walker; her parents, Addie Henderson Peacock and William Mathew Peacock; her siblings, O. Roy Peacock, Ward Peacock, Pauline Sharpe, Fannie Kate Peacock, Mildred Walden and Catherine Bennett; her grandson Chad Dixon; and her son-in-law Steve Dixon.

She is survived by : her daughters, Judy Walker Dixon of St. Simons and Janice Walker Corrigan (Stephen) of Savannah; her grandchildren, Anna Figueroa (Ed) of St. Simons, Addie Corrigan of Savannah and Danny Corrigan of Savannah; and her great grandchildren, Davene Dixon, Gates Dixon and Wells Dixon of St. Simons. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
