He is survived by: his son Gary Mercer (Deborah); his grandchildren, Christie Thompson (Bud), Johnny Paul Mercer and Jason Taft Mercer (Brenda); and his stepson Shayne Woods (Connie). He is also survived by four great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
