He is survived by : his wife Barbara Etheridge Newsom of Sandersville; his children, Jesse Strickland Newsom, III, Joday Franklin Newsom (Sheila) of Maryland and Beth Newsom (Tarek Sawi) of Virginia; his stepdaughters, Lora Barbara Lemon (Brett) of Florida and Elizabeth Congo (Paul) of Florida; and his grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Newsom, Franklin Dean Newsom, Charles Stickland Newsom, Sullivan Newsom, Nathan Newsom, John Gauntt, Parker Gauntt and Lillie Congo.
