He was predeceased by : his mother Mattie Lizzie Sellars Lanthrip; and his siblings, Larry J. Lanthrip, Connie L. Usry, Dale L. Davis, Pat L. Baucom and Betty L. Williford.

He is survived by : his wife Tina Baucom Lanthrip; his children, Marlie J. "Jake" Lanthrip III of Sandersville, Monica L. Swint (Jamie) of Sandersville and Audrey Lanthrip (Jon Sheley) of Davisboro; his parent Chris Lanthrip; his foster son Trent Hannah; his grandchildren, Austin Swint (Megan), Matt Swint, Kristen Swint, Jakob Lanthrip, Vada Lanthrip, Parker J. Lanthrip and Cain Sheley; his great grandchildren, Carlee and Lainey Swint; and his sister Elaine Lanthrip. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the May and Smith Funeral Home (1119 GA-242, Sandersville, GA 31082). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kendall Heights Church of God (829 Jordan Mill Rd, Sandersville, GA 31082).
