She was predeceased by: her daughter Donna Holton; her parents, Herman Tanner Sr. and Grace Robinson Tanner; and her siblings, Barbara Ann Tanner Harris, Herman Tanner Jr. and Eugene Tanner.

She is survived by: her daughter Denise Holton Amerson of Davisboro; her grandchildren, Josh Brantley of Atlanta and Erica Brantley Lanier (Spencer) of Statesboro; and her great grandchildren, Emma and Eli Lanier of Statesboro.
