He is survived by: his spouses, Twana Monroe Merrell and Tangela Merrell; his children, Cassandra Monroe of Tennille, Shawanda Monroe of Sandersville, Shanikka Monroe Foster (Fred), Ronnie Monroe of Sandersville, Ron Monroe of Claxton, Asia Merrell of Sandersville, Ronnie Merrell, Jr. of Sandersville and Dominique Kelson of Jacksonville; his mother-in-law Julia Pearl Cuyler of Wrightsville; his brother-in-law Micheal Rodgerick Cuyler of East Orange; and his uncles, Rosie Newson, Louise Smith, Bernice Williams, Marguerite Etheridge, Barbara Thomas, Florence Thomas, Doris Payne, Roosevelt Thomas, Felicha Thomas, Obie Thomas, Jr. and Nathaniel Thomas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
