She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Smith and Josephine Beasley Smith; her son James Harry of Washington; and her brother Jackie Robinson Smith. She is survived by: her son Dr. Rickey D. Rivers; her daughter-in-law Darnita A. Rivers of Panama City, Florida; her siblings, Barbara Ann Smith of Tampa, Rita Mae Smith Fleming of Savannah, GA and Melvin Smith, Sr. of Atlanta, GA; her grandchildren, Rickey Jr., Tyler, Nikolas and Darnell; and her cousins, Joanne Collins of Ellabell, GA and Brenda Stewart of Savannah, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
