He is survived by: his wife Leslie Mays Daniel; his children, Cecil Knox Daniel III (Eve) of Savannah and Jessie Sasser White (Ben) of Atlanta; his brother Buxton Laing Daniel (Cathy) of Morganton; and his grandchildren, Victoria Ashley Daniel, Lansing James Daniel and Crawford Alexander Daniel.
