He was predeceased by: his daughter Kim Michele Stokes; his parents, Charles Henry Stokes Sr. and Estelle Sapp Stokes; and his siblings, James R. Stokes, Paul Stokes, Waring Stokes, Dennie Burgess and Christine Jarrell Stokes.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Stokes; his son Kevin Stokes (Pam); his grandson Clifton Stokes (Melinda); his great grandchildren, Jayden, Kinzley and Brantley; and his siblings, Earl Stokes (Shirley) and Dorothy Stokes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel (2794 US-80, Garden City, GA 31408). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, a cause that was close to Charles' heart.
