He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wayne Slayton and Joan Elizabeth Gray Slayton; his grandparents, Medrew, Marvin Slayton and Gray; and his brother Edward Wayne Slayton Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Bailey (Chris) of Portal, GA and Rebecca Creel of Statesboro, GA; his aunt Bonnie Pattison; and his uncle Drew Slayton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
