" - American Heart Association View Sign Umatilla: Frances Boatright Alverson, 62, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Florida Hospital after a short illness. Frances was a native of Liberty County. She was born to the late Earl and Joann Boatright on February 8, 1956 in Savannah, Georgia. Frances was many things to many people. Mother, granny, Miss Frances, Aunt Frances, sister, and friend are just some of the names and positions she held in others' lives. Frances was likely the most blunt and straight forward person you have ever met. She did not hesitate to tell you exactly what she thought you should do about whatever the current topic of discussion was. Though opinionated, and gruff at times, Frances's intentions were backed by love. She loved nearly everyone she encountered for more than a few minutes. Frances enjoyed life to the fullest as often as possible. She is deeply missed by many. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Joann, and brother, Marty Boatright. Survivors: Son, Benjamin "Ben" (Terri) Collins; granddaughter, Hailey Collins; brothers and sisters, Robert D., Sr. (Jackie) and Wilson (Angie), Angie (Earl) Elam, Mike (Terri) Moody, Jeff Moody; step-mother, Wanda Moody Boatright; aunt, Bessie Maddox and several nieces and nephews; special friends, Joan and Arlin Harris and Allen Martinez. Funeral: Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Hinesville Cemetery with Pastor Brian Smith officiating. Remembrances: The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that remembrances can be made to the in memory of Frances.
