He is survived by: his sisters, Helen Ray Smith and Olive Dawson Johnson; his wife Linda Turner Dawson of Collins; his son Johnny Dawson (Margie) of Brunswick; his stepchildren, John Turner (Dawn) of Alma and Misty Turner (Rob Hutcheson) of Reidsville; his grandchildren, Jessica Dawson, Chad Dawson, Kristi Dawson and Johnny Dawson, Jr.; and his nephew Howard Ray of Glennville.
