He was predeceased by: his parents, Virdree Gary and Fannie Mae Williams Gary; his daughters, Janet Croom and Vanessa Scott; and his sister Nora Bell Small.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Allen, Patricia Williams, Angela Gary, Teresa Gary and Cleveland James Gary (Emma) of Savannah, Georgia. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 110 great grandchildren, 36 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, other relatives friends.
