It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Theron Ellington of Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Gay and James Frank Ellington; and his siblings, Dan Ellington, Gene Ellington, Harry Ellington and Shirley Arsenault.
He is survived by: his sister Jewel Ray of Claxton; and his daughters, Claudia Young, Gilda Bass (Bobby), Gail Lachapelle (Bubba), Susan Darieng and Lawanna Lewis (Danny). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
