She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Ray Jefferson and Johnnie Dell Jefferson; her siblings, Earl and Pauline (Sam); and her former husband Charlie (Charles Sherman Riggs).
She is survived by: her husband Sam; her sister Virginia (Billy); her children, Susan Young, Dr. Sam Young and Stephen Young (Patsy); her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Robbie), Marshall (Willa), Carol, Wesley (Jennifer), Hillary (Zach) and Emily (Kaleb); and her great grandchildren, Samantha, Mackenzie, Elle, Audrey, Maci and Clare. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
