Preston Walthour Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2025, at the age of 80, Preston Walthour Jr. (Savannah, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Preston departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Preston may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Preston leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Walthour and Essie Mae Walthour. He is survived by: his children, Major Andrea Michelle Walthour, Angela Latrell Watkins and Preston Walthour; his sisters, Inez and Sherry Walthour; and his cousin Rev. Barbara Simmons. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Campbell and Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (2520 Bonaventure Rd, Savannah, GA 31404). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church (441 E Broad St, Savannah, GA 31401).
