He was predeceased by: his former wife Lucy Sershing; his wife Marie Jones; and his daughter Kathleen Patrick. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Brandi Finch (Bruce) of Rincon and Mandi Owens (James) of Statesboro; and his close friends, Jim and Pat Newton of Guyton. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
