He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Groover and Wilma Watson Groover; and his siblings, LJ Groover and Ann Cammack. He is survived by: his wife Mary Groover of Savannah; his daughters, Natasha Mendoza (Adrian) of Willow Spring and Amanda Groover of North Carolina; his granddaughter Georgia Tommy Groover (Lauren) of Statesboro, Georgia.; his stepchildren, Johnny Godbee of Faulkville and Georgia Becky Cooler of Claxton, Georgia.; his sisters, Rachael "Winkie" Cammack of Glennville, Georgia Billy Groover of Glennville and Georgia Jim Groover of Savannah Georgia; and his sister-in-law Susan Groover of Glennville. He is also survived by Seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
