He was predeceased by: his wife Christine Wimpy Currie. He is survived by: his daughters, Jo Ann, Robert Hagan of Statesboro, Brenda Sowell and Danny Sowell of Jesup; his grandchildren, William Hagan (Katie) and John Hagan (Rose); his stepgranddaughter Jennifer Sapp (Gary) of Claxton; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Molly Bradley, Jamie, Sara and Kaitlyn Sapp; and his sons, Vann Dempsey and Gerald.
