He was predeceased by : his daughter Carmen Thornton; his parents, Colon Thornton and Evelyn Thornton; and his sister Ree Hubbard. He is survived by : his son Donavan Thornton of Screven; and his siblings, Susan Epley of Screven, Sandra Ring of Helena, Linda Strickland of Jesup, Beth Thornton of Jesup, Ricky Thornton of Screven and Vance Thornton of Screven. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
