He was predeceased by : his parents, Tillman Cowan and Odessa Jones Cowan; and his wife Virginia Ann English Cowan. He is survived by : his daughters, Sheila Sumner (James), Tabitha Drummond (Shawn) and April Thomas; his grandchildren, Bradley Sumner, Kala Nix, Trenton Drummond, Macy Thomas, Hannah Thomas, Blake Thomas and Daisy Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Rylee Nix, Dawson Drummond and Knox Sumner.
