He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Leon and Mildred Louise Bethel; his sister Doris Ann Bufford; and his stepmother Ruth. He is survived by: his wife Dottie Rue Medling; his sons, Jeffrey William Bethel (Jennifer) of Marietta, GA and Christopher Michael Bethel of Kennesaw, GA; his brothers, Billy Jo Bethel (Sandra) of Greenfield, TN and Johnny Mack Bethel (Dawn) of Greenfield, TN; and his grandchildren, Emma Louise Bethel (Chris), Caroline Bethel and Luke Bethel (Jeff). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory (2480 Macland Rd, Marietta, GA 30064). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
