He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Aletha Herren Hogue; his wife Sadie Ann Turner; his son James Rodney Hogue, Jr.; and his siblings, Bill Hogue, Harold Hogue and Sandra Lynn Babb.
He is survived by: his father William Elbert; his daughter Susan; his children-in-law, Patrick Wamsley of Mount Pleasant, SC and Polly Hogue of Marietta; his brothers, Wayne Hogue of Mount Pleasant, SC and Terry Hogue (Linda) of Roswell; his grandchildren, Lauren (Tom Bradley), Benjamin Wamsley (Katelyn), Katie Wamsley and Jim Hogue III (Luci); and his great grandchildren, Daniel Bradley, Jacob Bradley, Sadie Bradley, Emily Bradley and Olivia Wamsley.
