He was predeceased by: his parents, William Asbury Shirley and Sallie Lola Blalock; his wife Bobbie Malone Shirley; and his siblings, Annie Mae, Ruby, Mary, Winnie, Newton and Willie Ola.
He is survived by: his sons, Randy Shirley, Mike Shirley and Tim Shirley; his grandchildren, Kelsey Dowell (Chad), Connor Shirley, Grant Shirley, Alex Shirley and Scott Shirley; and his great grandchildren, Oliver and Stella Dowell.
