She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Kelly Ewing (T. K.) and Sytha Amanda Brownlee; and her siblings, Jerrill Hollis Ewing and Mildred Wynell. She is survived by : her son James Darling Cofer Jr. (Jack); her daughter-in-law Teresa; her grandchildren, Kelly Amanda (Cofer) Lutz (Brian) and James Darling Cofer (Jim); and her siblings, Thomas Harvis, Melba Faye Robertson (Ewing), Deloris Ann (Ewing) and Wilkinson (Jim). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Edna was such a sweet wonderful lady. I was blessed to know her as part of the "Forget Me Not" Ministry, although I knew her before that. The ministry allowed me to visit her and get to know her and her family. I know she is at peace and God has her in His arms and I believe she is finally seeing her husband after so many years. She was so close to 103 years old; but, I remember her saying she hoped she would not make 100. My prayers are for the family to be at peace as they are grieving.”
