She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Brenton Bennett, Jr.; her parents, Jesse Brown Childs and William Paul Childs; her siblings, John William Childs (Jack), Richard Wesley Childs (Jeanette), James Childs and Mary Childs Conort (Frank); her siblings-in-law, Robert Mansell Bennett (Connie), Alice Bennett Moyle (Clarence) and Sarah Jane Bennett; and her sister Elsa Mary Bennett.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth B. Rogers (Beth), Thomas B. Bennett III (Bert), Ann B. Szilagyi (Gary) of Jasper, GA, Mary B. Smith (Tom) of Dillon and William P. Bennett (Bill); and her brother-in-law George Adams Bennett (Lois). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
