It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claire Read of Social Circle, Georgia, who passed away on November 1, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Maggie Perry Malcom and Lester Aldine Malcom; her husband Eugene Adair Read, Sr.; and her sister Joanne Malcom Castleberry. She is survived by : her daughter Vicki Read-Bailey; her son-in-law Phil Bailey of Covington; her son Eugene Read, Jr. of Greensboro; her grandson Matthew Reed; and her great grandchildren, Addy Hewatt, Rhett Hewatt and Alayna Clark. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
